New Active Electronics
We've hardened the internal electronics to draw less phantom power, and we've built in additional protection features to safeguard against accidental hot swapping. We all know that you shouldn't plug in a condenser microphone with the power engaged but we also know that's an inevitability in the field sometimes. These new stacked changes make the DM20 Gen 2 more robust, more compatible, and more user-friendly.

New Rim Mounting System
Everything about the DM20 Gen 2 is designed for speed — and that includes the speed of set up and tear down. The new and improved rim mounting solution saves massive amounts of time while delivering a much better user experience. And it's compatible with even more kits and percussive instruments.
